Ever since the launch of CoolHotmail, Microsoft has been adding new domains specific to different countries. Latest addition is domain ‘live.in’ specifically for Microsoft Email service users in India.
Windows Live Services product head Samir Saraiya added… “The Live.in id also opens up a whole new set of possible names so customers have a new opportunity to sign up for an ID name they really want”.
Live.in runs on the Windows Live Hotmail platform with features like safer, more powerful and productive e-mail experience with flexible access via the Web, on a mobile phone or with an e-mail client, including increased storage limits to 5 GB.
You can use this ID to access serviceslike: Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Spaces, Windows Live Mail, Windows Live SkyDrive Beta, Windows Live Photo Gallery, Windows Live Writer, Windows Live Family Safety, Windows Live Calendar Beta, Xbox Live, and Live Search.
In this blitz of new domains being added, Microsoft has still kept the old domain of ‘Hotmail’ as an option. You can chose either domain while signing up for an email/ Live account.
With biggies like Yahoo, Microsoft & Google slugging it out, things are getting better for users. More options, more creative products to look forward. [via]
