If you are an iGoogle (formerly Google’s personalized homepage) addict, then you should backup your iGoogle settings now.
Backup comes handy in restoring your tabs, layout, gadgets and other personalized elements on your iGoogle page. There are two ways to backup iGoogle settings as provided on settings page.
First method involves saving settings on Google’s server. For this, click on the ‘backup’ button to save your current iGoogle settings. You can restore settings using ‘restore now’ button.
Second method involves saving your iGoogle settings on your computer in the form of XML file. Click on ‘export’ button and save the XML file on your computer. As pointed by GoogleOS, this method is very useful in migrating the page from one Google account to another. Ready for backup?
