Don’t like ‘My Computer’ icon on Windows 7 desktop? You can easily customize to change ‘My Computer’ icon with any icon of your choice. You can use ‘change desktop icon’ feature in personalization settings for making changes to icon for ‘My Computer’ on the desktop screen of Windows 7 computer.
Change ‘My Computer’ icon on Windows 7 PC
1. Right click on empty space on desktop and click Personalize option.
2. Then click Change desktop icon option on the left panel of Personalization window.
3. In the Desktop Icon Settings dialog box, click to select ‘My Computer’ icon and then click ‘Change Icon’ button.
4. Select new (& different) icon from the pop-up window and click OK button.
5. Then click Apply and OK button for new icon for ‘My Computer’ on your Windows 7 computer.
Restore original default ‘My Computer’ icon
1. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to open Desktop Icon Settings dialog box.
2. Then click Restore Default button to switch back and revert to original icon for ‘My Computer’ on your Windows 7 desktop screen.
