Adobe Photoshop is best image editing software suite. New version, Adobe Photoshop CS5 should be released on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm GMT. CS5 promises lot of new features and improvements. Some new additions like ‘content aware fill’ feature is already making lot of exciting about Photoshop CS5 launch.
Amazing Content aware fill feature
Clone brush in photoshop comes real handy while filling up spaces from pattern taken from different parts of images. Content aware is similar to clone brush with exception – it is fully automated. You don’t have to select pattern that should fill selected part of the image. It automatically fills the selected part with matching content and result is simply amazing.
Better edge detection & masking results
Newer version has better and more precise edge detection. It can detect and identify complex borders in any image. For example, in the video below it is able to detect edges of cat hair (can’t get complex than that!).
Other features of Photoshop CS5 release
1. Puppet tool – It allows you to create a skeleton kind of shape by assigning joints on object and wrap image around it. This is being take from Adobe After Effects program.
2. Wet paint – Newer CS5 will support wet paint color mixing that looks like actual paint mixing like we have in Corel painter software.
3. Brush Stroke effect – Besides the wet paint mixing, it promises brush stroke effect that looks almost real life, like we see on actual painting canvas.
4. Patchmatch – It includes 3 tools: re-targeting, in-painting, and reshuffling. It allows you to patch and edit photos even better than clone brush (read content aware fill above).
